70th SPIELWARENMESSE: OUR PHOTO REPORTAGE

The Nuremberg kermesse is a useful test to see what will be successful through the new year and to understand what to aim for if you are a retailer or a licensee.

As every year Licensing Magazine is the only trade publication with its own booth in the rich frame of Spielwarenmesse, the most important trade fair in the world dedicated to the toy industry. This fair is also increasingly the place where many licensing professionals close new deals and can have updates on the latest industry trends. In particular, the Nuremberg kermesse is a useful test to see what will be successful through the new year and to understand what to aim for if you are a retailer or a licensee.

Well this year’s trends can be summed up in a few synthetic words: FORTNITE for boys, girls and adults (the tendency of adult toys is increasingly central in the toys sector); LOL SURPRISE for little girls; FUNKO that combines the world of the most iconic characters and the passion for trendy collectibles; llamas and unicorns in various shapes, a must-have for children and adults alike.

Below there is a selection of photos taken during the fair.
